My Kink is Safe Abortion

Freedom turns me on.

Look at that silver beard. It feels just as scrumptious against your skin as you would imagine.

Evenings in the House of Stagg begin with a post-work snuggle. If you’re not familiar, my honey, Mr. Crispy, is a bear of a man. His arms fit perfectly around me, and no matter how I’m feeling, in those moments when we’re cuddling, I know I’m beautiful. He makes sure I know it in my bones.

What most folks don’t know is that he’s also a biter.

You’ve probably heard me say he’s vanilla. And for the most part, he is. But sometimes, he grabs my arm or the nape of my neck with his teeth and growls.

The low rumble of his voice makes my thighs shake.

We’re both in our late forties, and we kiss and grope like teenagers to the point we’re red-lipped and panting. And if the clothes come off (which sometimes they don’t because sexual intimacy isn’t all about penetration), I know that I have the support and freedom to love him without shame or fear.

We use birth control (An IUD, no condoms because monogamous is what works for us – rhyme intended), but if it were to fail, I know we’re on the same page. Neither of us wants kids. I know it’s a privilege to have his support and the means to procure an abortion should I need one.

But not everyone has the freedom to enjoy sex without the fear of an unwanted pregnancy hanging over them.

Think about it, when you know your choices are yours to make, you’re free to live your life. The opposition would have you believe that abortion is a go-to form of birth control, that it is used indiscriminately by women with loose morals.

No. Abortion is a medical procedure made between an individual and their healthcare provider — nothing more, nothing less. Abortion isn’t a matter of shame or cause for imprisonment, torture, or death. Freedom isn’t free when you can’t decide what happens in your skin.

International Safe Abortion Day is about keeping abortion safe and legal for every person of reproductive age.

Smutathon 2019 badgeThat’s why I’m participating in Smutathon 2019.

We’re raising money for the National Network of Abortion Funds. And now I’m settling in to write about being free to revel in sexual expression and choose your path.

It’s 10:45 AM EST, and from here on in, I’ll be updating my progress at the top of each hour.

If you’re writing with us today, find beautiful, smutty words. If you’ve donated: THANK YOU! If you’re looking for a way to support safe, legal abortion in the US, follow this link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/smutathon2019?refcode=thermometer

Be well, be wonderful, and above all, be you.
